New website.

Mon Jun 29, 2009, 5:53 AM
It's been a while since I gave my website a complete makeover, but apparently I forgot to mention it in a dA journal post... Silly me...

Anyways, feel free to take a look at my new website, all home-scripted PHP and some neat JSlibs, here or copy-paste www.nils-nahooy.com into your browser's thing.

Thanks ^^

As stated in my previous journal entry, my collection of Poems, entitled Doorn in mijn oog - mijn mens-zijn in het kort is now for sale here. This book is a collection of poems I wrote between 2001 and 2008, in various languages.

In the meantime I'm busy working on my two main works; Mourning Would, which is to become an English novel and Drama & Nihilisme a Dutch philosophical work on Drama, theatre, etc and their relations to nihilism.

I'm also working on a third book, which will again be an English novel; The House of Eye.

Because there's tons of stuff going on for the past two years (mainly the fact that I'm finally taking my education somewhat more serious) I seem to be experiencing some sort of a writer's block. Still, I do hope those few people who actually find themselves interested in my scribbles will follow me through this process of being lost for words and sudden attacks of inspiration that give me terrible headaches and make me lie awake for several days.

For some reason my only real ambition in life has always been to become a writer, and I even want to one day write and maybe direct my own movie...

Anyway, this just to inform my fans about what's going on with the whole writing thing.

Yours truly,

Nils

She posed herself in front of the large mirror in her mother's bedroom. Seeing herself naked in a room lit only by the one candle on the shelf made a shiver run down her spine. As if amazed she stared at her own body, freed from all but that which nature gave her.
Carefully she let the tip of her left index-finger touch her right nipple, whilst with that same hand holding her small but beautiful breast. The invisible hairs on her chest rose, and shiver she did once again as she felt her nipple get hard, aroused as she got from seeing her own indisputable beauty.
The heat coming from her thighs had already formed its condensation on the mirror, as she noticed, behind her, a crow watching her from behind the window. She walked towards the open window and shyly asked the crow whether he'd come to look at her beauty as well.
The crow jumped up from his place and hopped his way through the room until he sat upon the shelf right beside the large mirror. She followed him, appreciating his company as much as his interest. And there they stood, just for a second, until the crow jumped up again and this time landed on her shoulder.
Surprised she turned and as she did the crow stabbed out both her eyes and took them with him, out into the cold dark night...

Vanity, be warned!

Probable excerpt from Mourning Would: a novel on perversion.

But seriously, I wish to notify those few people who visit this page and/or my website from time to time that, as of today, I won't be putting any effort in creating/posting anything, including pictures. At least not for a while.
The main reason is that I wish to concentrate myself on my studies and my writing, the other reasons I have for this are personal and will not be confided to anyone, so don't ask.

See you later,

Nils
